While union public service commission conducts examinations to recruit individuals for the All India services, that is the civil services, the Bihar government has established an efficient commission to recruit individuals for the Bihar government, and this commission is most popularly known as Bihar Public Service Commission. Both the commissions conduct exams and interviews for thousands of students every year to gain entry into the government sector.
Union Public Service Commission:
Union public service commission is a commission appointed by the government to conduct civil service exams for the recruitment of suitable candidates in the Indian civil service.
UPSC is made up of a chairman and 10 members.
It not only deals with recruiting the candidates but also deals with promotion as well as transfer on deputation.
It handles disciplinary cases related to civil services and advises the government on introducing new strategies for recruitment.
The expenses of the Union are undertaken by the consolidated fund of India or the consolidated fund of the state.

The recruitment is done by two means:
Direct recruitment: individuals are recruited through exam and interview. Exam has two levels, preliminary exam and mains exam. This is followed by a tough interview session.
Promotion: promotions can be made from group A to group B. this can only be done after a thorough consultation with the chairman of UPSC.
The commission has to submit annual reports to the president. It consists of all the work done by the commission in the entire year including the strategies planned for the next year.
Bihar public service commission:
The Bihar public service commission is an efficient commission which conducts examinations to gain entry into the Bihar government.
Earlier it had its headquarters in Ranchi which have now been shifted to Patna.
It conducts examinations and interviews for recruitment of various posts.

The question papers are designed by a group of highly trained professionals.
Both the preliminary exam and mains exam are very tough and require lot of hard work. In order to appear for the mains exam you have to clear the preliminary exam.
The expenses for the commission are fulfilled by the Bihar Government.
Thus, both union public service commission and Bihar public service commission recruit capable individuals for various posts in the Government sector. Based on their ranking, the selected candidates are strategically positioned across India.
